Research and Insights

Research is the driving force behind our advocacy and campaigning work.

Data Portal

The Turn2us Data Portal collects data from our Benefits Calculator. It is anonymised and can be broken down by demographic, region and local authority. The data provides a snapshot of the people who are trying to navigate the welfare benefits system and the potential impact of welfare reform on individual households.

To use the Data Portal you need to login to your intermediary account in the My Turn2us section of the website.

Our submissions

APPG on Universal Credit

Turn2us provides the Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Universal Credit. Our 2019 report 'What needs to change in Universal Credit?' sets out a list of priority recommendations to improve the new welfare system.

Two-child Limit

We have worked with a number of charities to show the impact of the two-child limit after two years. This policy is pushing many families deeper into poverty and must be reversed. We worked with Child Poverty Action Group, Church of England, Women's Aid and The Refugee Council.

Our key facts

We have produced a short information page on the key facts relevant to the work we do, covering important numbers on poverty and Turn2us. To find out more, please visit our Key Facts About Turn2us page.

Our research

We work with many leading researchers from universities and respected think tanks in the UK to achieve the highest standards possible. Below is a full list of our recent research projects. Click on the links to find out more information about each study.
