Student Welfare Office/ Student Liaison Office

Most universities and colleges will have a student advice/welfare service. They normally provide advice on a range of issues including housing, benefits and student financial support.  You may also be able to access Hardship Payments/Emergency Help Payments through some student support offices

Disabled Students Helplines

UK

Disability Rights UK run a free specialist helpline to advise and support disabled people who are 16 or over and live in England, who are studying or wish to study full-time or part-time. They are not able to provide detailed information to students in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Scotland

LEAD Scotland offer advice and support for students with disabilities in Scotland. 
Tel: 0131 228 9441 – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 2.00 pm-4.00 pm and Tuesday and Friday 10.00 am-12.00 pm.
